Sustainability and agriculture have been passions of mine for a long time, but it was stories from a friend that sparked my interest in flower farming. One day I saw a magical-looking picture of a truck full of dahlias. Seeing that picture, I thought ‘oh, I want to grow a truck full of beautiful things!’
I started in an 8′ by 10′ plot on my family’s farm in Yanceyville and have grown up to a five-acre flower farm. To me, Rosy Moon is all about connecting with nature, fulfilling my passion for sustainability, and sharing that world with our clients. I love the process of bringing clients’ ideas to life, putting together colors, themes, and ideas to create floral designs that feel special and unique.
Meet Morgan
My inspiration to start a flower farm came when my husband bought me flowers after a bad day. We had recently purchased a 40-acre property in Reidsville, NC that we knew would be a farm, but up until that point we weren’t sure what kind of farm. Those flowers brightened my day, but also planted the seed for a new career path.
Before Rosy Moon, I spent 10 years as a wildlife biologist – an experience that grew my passion for sustainability and regenerative practices. My goal with Rosy Moon is to help people celebrate their special occasions with native plants and sustainable practices that leave the world a better place.
